Dr. Sullivan earned her M. Sc. and Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from St. Louis University. Her interests include learning theory, memory, and cognition, with application to real world problems.
Currently, Dr Sullivan divides her time between teaching, research, and consulting.

Dr Sullivan is presenting a paper at INCEED 2005 (International Conference on Energy, Environment, and Disasters) in Charlotte, North Carolina in July. The paper, " Disaster Preparedness for Populations with Special Needs", describes work done in collaboration with the Research Insitute of the National Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilties (Japan).
In January of 2005, Dr Sullivan attended the UN World Conference on Disaster Reduction, held in Kobe, Japan.

Dr. Sullivan is a member of the American Psychological Association, Sigma Xi, the Eastern Psychological Association, and the Global Alliance for Disaster Reduction.
